I can certainly see this thread going somewhere. Maybe more so than my 'first year capped bust coin' thread? I am far more heavily into Capped coins myself, but we will see
Incomplete planchets wanted, especially Lincoln Cents & type coins.

Thanks for the reminder. I had forgotten to find you those scans.
Yep, I would say that cinches it. It's a fact, just as I was thinking when we had yesterday's discussion.
You already posted mine. I used to own the coin in the OP. I bought it last year and slabbed it at the end of December. Note that little area on the reverse rim. That's what made me think you have the coin I owned until fairly recently. I bought it raw from a forum member, then swapped it back to him. I guess he sold it to you, unless it's passed through other hands in the interim.
Interesting.
It was (and is) a great coin. Textbook CircCam. I'm glad to see it's being appreciated.
Note also that as I am the originator of the CircCam term, you now own a famously pedigreed piece. Congratulations. I'll be signing autographs after the show, haha.
Here is another. Not a true CircCam, but close. It's more "crusty" than it is CircCam. Your (our) 1838 above has the most defined "black and white" CircCam contrast I think I've had on a coin, at least in recent memory.
This one isn't Seated, but it's somewhat CircCammy. Oddly enough, it has a similar history. I bought it raw from the same person, slabbed it in the same submission as the coin you have, and also ended up swapping it back to the guy I'd bought it raw from. (Basically I guess I just did his slabbing for him, which is odd, since I'm usually a small, once-a-year sort of submitter).
Back to the Seated coins, but not a quarter. Not a full black-and-white CircCam, either, but pretty darn close.

Thanks. It's always nice to see an old friend again.
I forgot I had a picture of this one, I found it over the summer languishing an an off-brand slab:

Say no more. You like Capped Bust and you like CircCams?
Draped and Capped Bust halves are far easier to find CircCams in, for some reason.
