1. Generic gold is king....But for how long?

2. Classic silver type is non existent.
but if it was available the prices and demand
would be soft.

3. Dreck is a bit like the Federal Reserve, Zero Interest.

4. Gold is a little like the story of the horse that put its hoof
in the stirrups. The rider said, "well If you are gonna get on, I
might as well get off".

5.After listening to all of the coin mavens, pundits, and wise folks.
It is clear...(NO ONE KNOWS WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!)

6.It is clear, that some dealers have not sold anything in the last
2 years. Wonder how they manage to eat?

7.What appears to be really hot right now is...................................
an ELECTRIC BLANKET!

8. The GOLDEN NUGGET OF WISDOM....Collect nice looking, appealing
coins and have fun with your collection! image

December is Be Kind To Dreck month.

Buy some and make that dealer who hasn't sold a coin in the past two years happy.

(He will use the money to buy generic gold.)

To quickly sum it up...a good show for most with few complaints.

Remember that all coins will sell for a price, even the "dreck". The problem is that a lot of people ask too much money for inferior quality coins. Collectors share equally in the guilt of committing this faux pas as much as the dealers do.

I definitely prefer to read the reports written by the guys who were actually there.

Just for the record and John knows this...I was there and the OP wasn't.

Oh yeah...I don't know a single dealer who hasn't sold a coin in two years. Sorry to dissapoint those pessimists out there who still can't fathom the thought that the majority of the dealers who actually attended the show had a productive time there.
