Is this a Craigslist scam?

So I have over 100,000 cards I put up for sale on Craigslist for 625.00 just to see if I get any interest. Thought I would make some room even if I got half that for them.
Here is my posting....
Over 100,000 sports cards, mostly baseball. Full of HOFers, stars, and plenty of inserts! Years range from 1986 to present. The cards are mostly baseball but there is a little basketball, football, and hockey mixed in. Dont expect high value cards for this price but there are lots of nice cards! This would be a great lot for anyone who does flea markets! Im located near Kinderhook, NY. If you are interested, you must come pick them up. This is a really good value on lots of cards! They are only about a half penny a piece! You may email me at yankeeno7@aol.com

So in less than a half hour, I get an email on the listing....all it says is "Is it available for sale" I will make up a fake email just for description...say it is from john.james47@gmail.com but the reply is to james.john24@gmail.com

I respond back "Yes, it is available"

About 2 hours later I get this response from james.john24@gmail.com
Hello,

Thanks for the swift response... I'm okay with the condition and price of the item and ready for its purchase. My form of payment will be by sending you Check via UPS with a second day air delivery.

I'll be responsible for the pick-up and the movers fee will be included in your payment to avoid delay and to enable pick up company to schedule an appropriate time for the pick-up at your location after check has been cashed as I have other properties to be moved alongside the item.

Would have love to come over for viewing but I'm afraid that might not be possible due to my work frame. If you have more pics please send so I can have a good look. Do get back to me with your full name and address including your cell and land number so I can make out payment.

Regards,"

The letter was not closed with a persons name. Condition of the cards was never given or requested. The person is asking for both my cell and land number. This just isnt feeling right. Anyone have an idea if this seems like garbage to you?

    VERY common SCAM.

Likely Nigerians, but could be ChiComs, Romanians, or
    Ruskies.

    ...............

Disregard all communications and do not respond to ANY
    of the CRIMINAL's emails.

    ...........

The check will be fake and the "movers" will be part of
    the "buyer's" GANG.

The usually send a check for twice the invoice. They tell
the seller to keep half of the "extra money" and pay the
rest of the "extra money" to the "movers."

I agree - I'm not sure exactly what the scammer has in mind, but he will try to scam you in some way, no doubt about it.

You might EDIT your Craiglist ad to read - "Buyers must include full name, contact number" etc.

This will allow you the control of the transaction and avoid having to give out your info for scammers.

    cheers

image That's funny, the condition was never even mentioned.

If anything mentions a check of money order that needs to be cashed, it's typically a scam. This is a scam, I've got a few like this myself.

He may send a MO or whatever for more then the price of the 'item' and then ask you to send back the change with the item.

    Tell him local pickup only.

    Good for you.

That's the real giveaway on a scam/fake email -- made up name with a number on the end.
