The 2008 Resurrection of So-Called Dollars

SmallForest on eBay, created a set of seven So-Called Dollars in different metals, in celebration of publication of the second edition of the Hibler-Kappen catalog.
Here is one of them. I think the resurrection might have been short-lived.

The reality is that good SCDs are getting harder and harder to find. In my opinion, they are harder to find know than they were when we released the new book. Which tells me that they are quite collectible and very much sought after. If no one wanted them, they would be for sale everywhere and quite easy to buy at any grade.

I am adding pieces ... slowly. I have focused on the 1894
California Midwestern Exposition. Offerings seem few and
far between.
I did manage to pick up a few slugs from last week's
Stack's auction. Most weren't worthy enough to be photographed,
but the descriptions sounded worthwhile. We'll see .....
I am also on the lookout for Lesher Dollars!
Here is my 1896 Bryan Dollar. HK-786, NGC 58 , Ex-Cosmique Collection:
<< <i>I kinda like that. It has a sort of ZZ-Top feel to it. >>
Now that you mention it, I agree!
<< <i>Good SCDs are still bringing good money, just like the coin market.

Here, I thought it was my imagination. In retrospect, I am in complete agreement.
