62 or 63. Have you checked it as a VAM. I think I'm seeing some markers for 1878-P VAM 14.1A but the pics just aren't quite clear enough

Based on the scuffing I would agree with the majority: 62

MS62 due to the scuffs and dings. Still a beautiful Morgan though!

    Here's my 8TF VAM3 MS63 for comparison...

62 or 63. The hit in front of the nose may bring it down to a 62.

MS-62 or 63 need a close up to see what we need to look for. I would like to see the tail if you can?

    Hoard the keys.
  • Hey, Gunny, Happy Vet's Day!

    It's a squeaker, but I'd say 63.

I'd expect MS62 if I sent it in.
    When in doubt, don't.

I think 63 is possible- this is a very close call.

My guess is the digital camera pic's are closest to the look of the coin in hand. What are your thoughts on that? I grade it 62 because of the scrape on the obverse and marks on the reverse. Thanks for sharing.

That was my thought as well and why I'm on the fence about submitting it for grading. The first two pics doesn't do any justice for the luster this coin has. Thanks gain for the comments and comparison.
