1969-style Steve Garvey . . . finally

I've been dragging my feet on completing any of my custom card creations for nearly two months.

Finally, with the help of some of you, I've completed my 1969-style Steve Garvey.

It's not the most apparent aspect of that card but the write up on the back is really convincing, too. That pithy, clean prose style is a big part of the fun for cards from that era. Good stuff, all around.

Bob - Pretty neat!
I like the 100th anniversary patch to verify the 1969 photo.
Topps had some throwback cards recently and for a 1957 Brooks Robinson, they used a photo from the 1970's
just didn't look right.

Kid, you hit it right on the head . . . "Fun."

I really enjoy doing these cards. I enjoy the challenge of making what I see in my head appear on ink-on-paper. And I greatly enjoy sharing them with collectors who remember the cards and the players of the past.
