Here another from the same seller. He calls it a double struck and I think he's short-changing himself. He must have hit it at least 4 times!

Of course the good folks at the e-bay community have no idea that a coin die does not impart the reeded edge we see in that so-called double struck quarter. Maybe it would help if you explained that two quarters put together, just a bit off center and then the application of 60 tons of psi will.

Just don't tell the seller the part about the reeded edge. Next time he'll just file off the edge before he makes it.

Email Mike Diamond at CONECA. He might have some specific information that eBay could use.

I have already spent to much time in this one, I am not the ebay police, I tried, I'm done. You all are aware of this guy so stay away from him.

He Will Do it Again I would Bet!!!!!!

You're exactly right. Scammers need to be stopped from the get-go.

The negative feedback will do it to him.
  • I hate scum like this. This guy needs to be kicked off of eBay. (Unfortunately, he'll just get another user ID)
eBayers who think these coins are authentic, might be to blame too. Buy the book before the coin. It always help to do some research.

this same seller also markets these LINK

very coy the way he words his auctions.......what is being sold is a 3" coaster.......he mentions this in the text of the auction but you will note he uses black for that line of text while everything else is in a colored font

also, he tells you right in the title of the auction "Huge Money" but this intentional use of wordplay has a dual meaning

This guy should be expelled from eBay and coin collecting period.

I have never understood why ebay allows things like this - even though the description states it's a 3" coaster - in the coin categories. It's not a coin!

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

didn't ebay institute a policy of not allowing "insurance is extra" clauses in listings? If so, there's your reason to kill the auction when reporting the seller. Just a speedbump, but all pain is good when it happens to dirtbags
