a "type trade dollar" in AU-50 is 200 bid, 220 ask per the October 2 weekly sheet, if that helps

how does this explain the heavily cleaned, XF trade dollars my dealer has in his case for 185 ?!??! (common date)

If it is accurately graded and problem free ,$200 would be a great deal.I am currently looking to buy an 1875-S and have only seen one in a Pcgs mid grade(40) and the price is $250.Are you buying or selling?
    Trade $'s
  • Any real Trade dollar in real AU at 200is a very good deal

The most recent Quarterly II supplement issue (August 14) lists the 1875-S in AU50 at $215. The next issue isn't due out until November.
    When in doubt, don't.

    Thanks for the info.............

Just to update a few, I did pick it up for $180. However, it has been lightly cleaned in my opinion. Not harshly, no hairlines, etc. But the color seems slightly off. I am pretty confident it is authentic, but just an old light cleaning maybe. Still, most people would probably look at it and call it "market acceptable." It's not for sale though.
