Seriously, what is the deal with that?

It's the Dudley "Short Shorts" variation. Really tough to find.

I heard that when we saw how white his legs looked he had Fleer pull the card.

The fact that anybody is stupid enough to pay that much for that piece of garbage makes me embarrased to be a card collector. You have to have some sort of obsessive compulsive disorder to think you just have to have that one. Just STUPID. Is that a joke!?

    The bidding is VERY suspect.

For some reason, Tonya doesn't care for my Emmitt Smith collection but she really likes my magic johnson.

creating a false market. They will shill bid and then file for a non paying bidder then relist. They hope that someone will then pay a couple thousand thinking they are getting a steal, I'm guessing.

  • Yeah, no way those are real bids. I wouldn't want to see the Final Value Fee for that auction which will NEVER be paid for.

Those aren't collectors making those kind of bids, probably kids, unless there is some kind of Honus Wagner story to go along with that card that no one else knows about.
Collecting: non-sports (celebrities, movies, tv, Batman, Wrestling & Wrestling Divas, & more), and sports (Spurs, Cowboys, Braves and other favorites)

Should us PSA board members help bid it up to half a mill?????? I would love to see the little cons faces as they thought they were getting a big score for a worthless card!

  • Maybe Storm can answer..

Any thoughts this seller is trying to get a power sellers status? Since won't he qualify for the PS status with sales this high? Then they can continue to sell the low dollar items they have been selling, just a lower fee costs?

  • Did I bid too much for the card?

    I just rememberd I don't collect basketball.

I have a question for the modern card collectors: Are any cards from 1980 to today(UNGRADED) worth $14,000, or even $5,000?

All I can think of would be a W. Johnson/C. Mathewson or B. Ruth/L. Gehrig or like Autograph card with 5 or less made.

Some of the more popular stars in the Exquisite products command higher prices like this. I know Lebron"s Exquiste RC used to consistantly
sell for 5 figures or close to it. I'm not sure of others like Adrian peterson, because I don't follow the footbal as closely.

Actually there are quite a few Lebron RC's on e-pay right now asking for 12k+.

    Exquisite search

I do understand that you asked for ungraded, but a graded 9 is no different to me than a mint/nrmt example not graded. It's not like grading is a science and a 10 is really a PRISTINE
example of the card and perfect in all ways with no flaws.
Move along folks.......Nothing to see here.
