Just got back from Las Vegas with a few goodies

Something from Russia, Canada and USA.........one stop shopping in Vegas.

Went to a few Pawnshops and picked all these nice little goodies for a very good price I may add

The Russian Dolls open into 8 or 10 each smaller as you open. I stopped in my usual pawnshops, starting with
the one that is on TV now "Pawn Stars" Their coins used to be high but they are even higher since they started that show.
But they were unaware of the Russian doll set as it is old and not new

Then when further North to another place and picked up the PCI ASE for my usual discounted price....help when you know them

Then went to downtown Vegas and hit a few more casinos and stopped in another pawnshop I know and picked up the 1973 RCMP

Excellent price

Overall I did well......2 nights in the Venetian room and food free (comp't) made some $$ and on the way home stopped for lunch just outside
of Vegas and picked up some more $$$
Seams that I either got lucky this time or the slot machines are getting loose again!

I was going to ask if that Canadian was AT or NT, but it appears to be BT (Babushka Toning).

Interesting way of storing a collection.

Neat stuff. I think every Russian relative that visited when I was a kid brought a set of those dolls as a gift.

Yes and they are worth 3x's what I paid

Maybe the show "Pawn Stars" keeps them busy and they didn't check it out.

The old guy and his son where there signing autograph's and having their picture taken with them.

They used to be slow as a snail until that show started and somewhat nasty also.
Maybe the extra income from being stars put a smile on their faces

Yes, very true, the new ones are made by the thousands. The older ones are at least marked USSR and further back

Looks like the scene painted on each one of the dolls varies. I wonder if they tell a visual story or something? They're neat anyway, Steph.

Yes they do. I'm glad that you noticed

This one tells how she met her boyfreind(husband)
and the smaller dolls are their children

Couple of years ago I snagged this one off of e-bay for two songs.
