How many of you play the sport you love and collect?

Here are a few pics of my playing hockey, just wondering how many others are out there. I might take up softball this spring if I have time not really sure why I want to play, but it's been on my mind for some time now...I haven't played base/softball since I struck out at t-ball when I was a kid...
Of every person I've ever played hockey with (and I've been playing since I was five) not one has ever been the collector...

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
I love non-sports cards.
This card is not mine but I'd like to play anyway!

Here is a funny pic of me with my game face on!
I am a fairly large person (6'5" 300lbs.), but that bat is a little league softball bat. Thought it would be funny, lol
I played baseball until high school and my Georgia All-Star team won the 13-14 year old state championship. That was my last year playing baseball as I had to choose between it and golf as both were spring sports.
Thanks for sharing photos of your hockey play. That's really cool. It isn't many people that both play and collect the same sport. There should be more. I have some hockey-player co-workers. I wonder how they would react if I brought my 1911 C55 Georges Vezina card into work?
In fact, for me I have to be an athlete first and a collector second. However, as a competitive long-distance runner, there sure aren't many cards to collect in my sport (though I have actually seen some on eBay). I attend NFL and MLB games. Of course, neither Brian Westbrook nor Ryan Howard have ever watched even one of my running races.

<< <i>I collect primarly Pre WWII baseball and I play in a Vintage Base Ball league. That's me on the left getting a hit off of Jim Bouton earlier this year. >>
I wish we had the VBBC in Tennessee.................I would love to play.
My skills are about as good as the team I grew up with, the Oakland/California Golden/not Golden Seals.
Lotta fun though.
Thanks,
Dimitri
