Presidential Dollar Varieties - 2007, 2008 & 2009..FUN!

It has almost been three years of this series and the "Varieties" have been interesting.
2007 saw the Washington Dollar start a frenzy of roll opening for "Missing Edge" varieties, know also as smooth edge, along with the faked "Buffy" Dollars.
Adams, Doubled Edge & Missing Edges again.
Jefferson had its run and started the "Weak & Partial Edge" Varieties.
Madison saw a few weak edges.
2008 for the most parts saw not too many errors except for Monroes.
Now 2009 is seeing quite a few "Weak Edge" errors.
Looks like the mint is having a lack of QC again.
I have classified each year based on Edge Lettering Type
2007 - Type 1
2008 - Type 2
2009 - Type 3
Type 3 - Harrison, Tyler & Polks Weak have been discovered in decent quantities as well......
The Ride Continues!

<< <i>What is interesting is that not many Doubled Edge Lettering varieties have happened since the John Adams Release.

Yes, that is true there havn't been any known double lettering edges since John Adams and maybe none at all. Personally, this is why I'm more of a fan of the double lettering edges than the plain edges. PLain edges are available for Washington on a large scale, for Adams on a small scale, and for Jefferson on even a smaller scale, but for double lettering edges Adams is all I can find on ebay or anywhere else when I search. I think this coin has the potential to really explode in value based on its rarity and uniqueness and right now I'm trying to buy a collection of 260 off of a local guy here in Michigan who keeps delaying me even though we negotiated a price at a coin show about 5 weeks ago. My only consolation is that I don't have to shell out $3500 yet to get them slabbed, but other than that it is starting to piss me off calling him every week trying to get a time and place for the deal.
I think that different edge lettering dies with different lettering "styles" were used for the Satin Finish versions of these coins and that some of those Satin Finish Dies were used on the production coins.
