UFC jitters...

Been following MMA since the conception back in UFC Royce Gracie and Japan Pancrase days.
Follow it religously and finally the day will come where I attend my first UFC event live, Going to the Marriot later today for the pre fight press conference and can't sleep.
I've taken time off work for the days leading to the event

Bouncing off the walls here. Who else is going to watch this Saturdays event?

The upshot is we stayed at the Westin along with at least 20 fighters and got to take a ton of pictures with them. Every single fighter was HAPPY to get into a picture with either me or my wife except one. Brandon Vera is the douchebag. Even Wanderlei (who wasnt fighting, but was there) was super nice. I was sitting in the "upper" lobby near the check in desk, when he and a few buddies walked up to check in. I patiently waited till he was done then I gestured to him with my camera. He smiled, and walked over to me and my wife and extended his hand. The man wanted to shake MY hand!!! Franklin, Wanderlei, Florian, Big Timmy, The Law, McDonald, Okami, Hamill, Pulver, Houston, and even Rogan, Goldie, and Buffer were all real sweethearts.
I hope you enjoy the event, but trust me when I tell you the best seat in the house is the $50 PPV seat on your couch!!!
<< <i>My wife and I drove to Cincinnatti for Silva/Franklin II. It was my 1st and last live UFC for me. Even though we had $300 seats, I found myself watching the jumbotron for a good 75% of all the fights. Once they hit the ground, I couldnt see a damn thing from my seat!

You sound surprised about Wanderlei. I've heard many, many stories about what a nice guy he is.
I've never been to a UFC event and probably never will, for the very reason you mentioned. The seat prices are just too high for my taste. I'd rather go to the local MMA group, pay $30 for front row seats 3 feet from the cage and enjoy myself there instead.
