    Popculture,
Well I took a walk through your store. You have a lot of really nice stuff. I think that my Terror Monster set is priced at about the lowest I would go, but I have alway wanted to start a Mars Attacks Graded set. My set is mid grade and probably not worth grading out. If you wanted to put together a package of Mars Attacks cards that you have and see what we could come up with I think we at least have a starting point for a conversation.
    So let me know

Mars Attacks are worth grading out in mid grade. 5's usually go for 30-50 dollars.

    Good Morning,
Wow, that didn't take long, I have pending offers on the Dinosaur and the Green Berets sets, both will be declined. Both Very Low Ball, but offers none the less and at least some action. I am in no hurry and will be waiting for the right Cash offer or Trade/Cash deal.
So any interest let me know.

    Steve,
But as a little bit of a purist, (Even though I play the PSA game), I need to have some Cards/Sets Raw. This I actually collected as a small child, so have to have it Raw!!!
I bought Mars Attacks form Penny Vending machines in 1962 in front of one of the first 7/11's in Sacramento! I was like 6 years old and had the entire set and My Dad would let me stay up on Fri. nights to watch the Monster Movies I was into even then!!

wow that is amazing to be a kid in the 60s and buying mars attacks wax packs and cards from vending, i didn't even know they made mars attacks vending boxes, surreal... i really envy you guys and if i ever get a time machine that's that's first place i'm going back to 1962, i asked my pop what he was doing in 1962 and what his excuse was for not buying his future slacker son a wax box or even pack of mars attacks, his excuse was something about being over seas in the navy, being a child of the 80s i remember back in 1985 i went to every 7 11 between my house and my school buying all the garbage pail kids .25 cent wax packs i could get my hands on, not quite as a great a story as hearing of your mars attacks adventures but good times, oh and to make up for not getting me a mars attacks box, my pop 3 years ago he purchased a 1966 topps batman b series box from mastro for me 75% gai 9 mint packs rest gai 8s. man i love my pop.
    love and laughter,
    slacker
ps steve i need to sweeten the deal for my mars attacks trade offer, perhaps name my first born after you , or any other psa sets your building i can help with?

i didn't even know they made mars attacks vending boxes,

I'm not sure that they did either, many times the vendors would simply bust wax packs and fill the machine that way.

    Steve
    Good for you.

    Steve,
Although I never saw the machine being filled at the 7-11, I am about 100% positive it would have had to have been filled from Vending boxes. Topps was doing vending boxes back to the early to mid 50's. The cards I got from the machine had no Wax or Gum and held 500 cards on each side (Can you say Vending). The thing you had to worry about was the grabber part of the coin slide damaging cards. Nobody busts wax packs to fill a 1000 card machine. And just plain logic tells you Vending Machine=Vending boxes to fill machine!!!
I fully expect one day out of the woodwork somebody is going to produce a Fully Sealed Vending Box or (And my Ultimate Fantasy) a complete Still filled Mars Attacks Vending machine from somebody's garage.
About three years ago a Complete still filled Vending machine was unearthed in the garge of some guy who was a contract distribitor for Topps. It was filled with about 500-700 1963 Beverly Hills Cards !!!! So it does happen.
    Just my 2 cents

Wrappers go for around 4k if you are lucky to find one.

One was on ebay a few years back and sold for 500.00 only because the seller had 36 red flags.

    The buyer left positive feedback.

    I was the underbidder.

I don't know if an unopened pack exists and with this Scammer climate nowdays wouldn't believe it anyway and no way to verify it cause I don't trust GAI and how would PSA know anything about that issues (Mars Attacks) unopened, having never seen one. I sold both of my wrappers a few years back, one for 1K and the other for 2K. Wish I hadn't of course. Does anybody remember Norm Saunders Son selling his Dad's set that was given to him from Topps, a few years ago. I would love to have bought that for the Provenance alone, as well it was a Super condition set as I remember.

    Slacker,
Did you ever come up with any ideas?

Somewhere in some candy stores cellar in a dusty back shelf sits a box of Mars Attacks wax waiting to be found.

Along side of it sits a Civil War cello box.

The dust is about 3 inches tall, the cellar is dark and dank.

In the corner sits a bundle of hoola hoops and other items on the shelf include balsam wood airplanes, crackle pops and
    other assorted nonsense.

The original owner is about 96 lives in the apartment upstairs and his son has no idea any of that crap is under his feet.

And the next thing would be the phone call to me with the following, "You know my Father just passed away and I was cleaning out some stuff of his and found these two boxes of cards and did a little research and saw you dealt in Non Sports cards on E-Bay. So anyway I need to move this stuff so I'm thinking a couple hundred dollars and its all Yours" !!!!!!!!

    Slacker,
Too bad I was hoping we could do something. Sales are bad now as I am sure you know. I almost cried when a saw a #36 Mars Attacks PSA NM 7 close at $75 bucks a couple of days ago. I would have thrown a bid in just to keep it going but thought it would bring hundreds and didn't have much in my Paypal.
Sure we couldn't work something out?
