I do not want Vick. Vick may have paid his debt to society by serving his prison time. As far as I am concerned, however, he forfeited the privilege of playing in the NFL by being a convicted felon.

What can he do if he is not playing football? That is not my concern. But if all he is good for is being a football player, then I would imagine he has much bigger concerns as he has, at most, five (5) years left of being a professional football player.

    I say NO!!!!!

I do not want him in the NFL. As for the argument that football is all he knows how to do...SO WHAT!!!!! What about a player who suffers a career-ending injury? What do they do? Answer...they LEARN to do SOMETHING ELSE!!!!! They go back to school; they learn a trade.

Same thing with someone who joins the Army at 18 and the Army puts them in the Infantry or Cavalry. Driving a tank or firing a howitzer doesn't relate too much to any civilian jobs I know of. So...what does someone do when they get out of the Army after 4-6 years? They go back to school and learn to do something else so they can make a living!!!!!

Michael Vick needs to do the same thing...go back to school and learn to do something else!!!!!

Just long enough to watch him tear his ACL on the first play from scrimmage...

I can concur with your statement. And I am a living breathing example of that. I served 4 years in the Marines as an artillery man with 2nd MOS as a machine gunner. I got out as a nothing, and am going to school to become a Radiologist Technologist. After 8 more years I will be a Radiologist.

That would NOT be possible to be "certain of."

Based on his conduct after his arrest, I would
say it is "pretty certain" that he is ONLY sorry
    he got caught.

The pre-sentencing reports from his probation
guy suggested that he was a liar, who refused
to accept responsibility for his actions, and was
only sorry that he got caught.

Even if he collects the 2-year money, it really does not make
much of a dent in what he owes.

It has cost him MILLIONS to just get to this phase of his plan.

    Throwing my vote in....

No, Vick should be banned for life. Its time the major sports leagues did something about the criminal behavior in their leagues. Whether they want it or not, they have the role of influence and the league should realize that. The problem is that so many of the athletes are all criminals in waiting before they enter the league, the money just gives them the ability to do it. Look at the NFL headlines recently...Stallworth, Burress, Vick, not to mention the many other minor law infractions. Honestly, Ive been able to get up, put my shoes on, go to work and manage to make it all day for 40 years without being arrested. These guys need to start paying the price. Playing in the NFL and making millions should be a priviledge, if you cant obey the law...McDonald's is ALWAYS hiring.

Just a thought for the day--And a definite stretch

    Aiding and Abetting

A criminal charge of aiding and abetting or accessory can usually be brought against anyone (THE NFL) who helps in the commission of a crime (MIKE'S DOG RING BY PROVIDING HIS INCOME). A person (OR THE NFL) charged with aiding and abetting or accessory is usually (NOT PRESENT) when the crime itself is committed, but he or she (OR THE NFL) has knowledge of the crime before (OR) after the fact, and may assist in its commission through advice, actions, or financial support(NFL SALARY). Depending on the degree of involvement, the offender's participation(THE NFL) in the crime may rise to the level of conspiracy(RE-HIRING HIM).

No. He brutally tortured dozens of dogs to death. He didn't just gamble on dog fighting. He participated in horrific an absolutely inhumane acts. I hope the Eagles go 0-16. This is just my opinion. It is a free market....for now.

I don't want him to play. I'm a dog kind of guy.
The things he did makes me sick.

But the comish let him come back, he never asked my opinion.
  • Yes , he should play . I hope he helps Philly win a Super Bowl too.

Hey look , I would never condone what he did but everyone is entitled to make a living . He served his time , lost millions
of dollars . Who are we to decide whether he plays or not. The fans of Philly wont care what he did if he ends up helping
    them win it all.

The real question is , Is he truly sorry and will he mess up again.

Unless the NFL has a clause where it states no person convicted of a felony can play I see no reason

why he should not be able too. With all that said I too was not happy with what he did.

Neither was my staffordshire pit bull April.

The only team where I would think he should not be able to play is the Packers.

Simply because they are owned by the city of Green Bay.

I said this before - what he did can't be imagined in any of us here - so "doing the time" - is a legal term - and doesn't assuage the outrage of many people.

    Does he deserve another chance?

    Yes

    Do I like the guy?

    No

Does he deserve to have someone give him a job?

    Yes

    With the NFL?

No - this is my opinion - some things are just too heinous - and I can understand people wanting him bannished for life from the opportunity for "this" job.

    Michael Vick,

Just move to South Korea and maybe you can open up an illegal dog and cat restaurant with your signing bonus?

Officials should "look the other way", now that the Seoul Olympics are history. They do luv dog and cats there!

Vick can serve up gourmet food and have a very profitable fur business on the side.

    Good rid-dens!
