Another ridiculous Hank Aaron price

I was bidding on this one but gave up when I realized the price was going to be way too much. The last PSA 7 of this card just sold for $162.50. This one is well centered but scan of back shows that it has at least 2 soft corners.

Agree, too much for a raw card off ebay

How much are you looking to spend?
I just posted some 1960 PSA 7's & 8's to eBay last night... including a Hank Aaron PSA 7!
The one I thought I paid too much for was actually a 1959 Topps card.

I agree card does appear to be miscut on back.
and Hammerin' Hank IS under appreciated (or he was) but in recent years in light of the steroids scandals and juicers his numbers are truly spectacular. He is, in my mind the REAL homerun king. Bonds can suck it. and suck it hard.
I bought a nice lot of 1960's that had 4 Aarons and none were centered (they all came from same collector who had them since 1960).
I would pay above SMR for a nice centered Aaron in PSA 7 or 8 with no lines or ink run.

<< <i>That 60 Aaron is tuff for several reasons. L/R centering is always a problem. Tons of print lines too. Then you've got the yellow bleeding issue.

Also, there are only 8 of these cards that have graded higher than a PSA 8, so there's good money (up to $2000) in that off chance of an 8.5 or 9. Even 8's sell for $600+. They almost always outsell a comparably graded 1956 for instance.
But that is a strong price for a raw ebay card. It would have to grade at least a 7 to make back that money and even then they may still lose a little.
My 8 looks like crap. OC and print dots galore. I would love to upgraded to one with better eye appeal, but I don't want to spend that kind of money for a visual upgrade right now.
Here's my "beater" 8:

Yea that's pathetic, I just PM'd you my address so you could send it to me, for proper disposal!

I would, but I don't want to waste the postage. Plus then I would have to buy some real coasters for my coffee table.
slight diamond cut.
