Anyone ever send a PCGS Genuine coin to NGC and get it graded?

    I think since NGC changed the weight they give to former NCS coins to 50%.....there will be a steady stream of pcgs gennies to that side of the street. Unless PCGS counters with the same change in registry value.

    How 'bout breaking out PCGS Genuine coins, sending them back to PCGS, and getting them into holders? I've done that and so have some coin friends of mine. It's no different than resubmitting bodybagged coins, except it's tougher to get them out of the holders.
    When in doubt, don't.

    I haven't seen an example of that, but I wouldn't be surprised. After all, I have seen it work the other way; I know that NCS coins have made it into PCGS (no problem) holders.

    Do your best to avoid circular arguments, as it will help you reason better, because better reasoning is often a result of avoiding circular arguments.

    Agree. Any coin that's very lightly cleaned has a good second chance to get graded by either grading service. I've seen many cleaned rare date coins in older slabs that silently net graded. They would probably get the "GENUINE" slab if resubmitted raw today.
