Giving In Now.......REA 75 Mini Wax RIP from BBCE

I bought this box right after the group pack sellout and tried to bust it back in May

but circumstances arose and it was backburnered. Planned again this past Friday

but came home to a blackout, and ended up at the bar all nite image

So here we go, NO more putting it off. Let some rippage begin!!!

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)

Guna sift thru these and put together a sub for August

Hava feeling I'm in for a new scale of grading for these babies?

I'll have to review the Mini thread over the Set Registry board to get some more insight

Great, a new set to start and now I'm totally sucked into these image

When I get a list together, anyone else have some freshys for trading?

By all means, come on over to the mini board. Bunch of addicts over there with a lot of insight and a lot of extra cards.

Feel free to PM any mini questions. The Cruz is likely the best ($$) card shown so far. Both Yaz's have nice eye appeal, but mild tilt which these days is an 8. They are grading minis brutally hard lately, and the REA cards especially hard.

    Good for you.

How is the reverse centering on the Cruz? Those green/yellows are such a bear. Often short, often have snow and other PDs, often awful centering, then when you finally see a nicely centered front, it often is 90/10 or worse on back...

That said, it is those quirks that make collecting minis so fun and for most of us mini collectors, we get far more excited by seeing a nice Frank Taveras or Rick Burleson than a nice "Choose your HoF"

Reminds me of some rips I did earlier in the year. Nothing quite as nice as '75 but several late 70's and early 80's. In grand total I got very little worth grading which, from a monetary standpoint, makes ripping old boxes not worth it to me. Yes the rare 10 is great but it's usually a money loser... like going to Vegas!

I was very surprised at the crispness of the cards, very sharp. Didn't really notice too many print dots?

I can scan the reverse of the Cruz tonite, that card did POP when I opened that pack image

I did get doubles of a green/yellow where one was uber short and the dupe was a lil taller with the miscut strip at the top

    I can post those too

Talk about Vegas crapshoot!!! Owel, I didn't bust it with intentions of making any dough, moreso for the experience (Love Rippin!)

Have a great start to a set now though image

But maybe sum lo pop hi grades can fund some more?!!

Get that Cruz in a PSA 9 holder and let me give you a sh*t ton of cash money for it; I pay the highest for minis that can improve my registry set.

what he said, i cant offer anything unfortunately.

grading has been tight on these boxes, but pretty consistent,
    albeit stringently consistent.
