PCGS graded this prooflike double eagle as MS60. I thought it was better, so I submitted it to NGC. They indicated it had evidence of wear and would not cross it.
None of those coins are MS-60. I would say probably 63 to 64 for all except maybe the gold one which I guess could be AU. Buy mistakes, that's how you make money.
relicsncoins---You can't go by those certificates since they didn't recognize MS61 and MS62 at that time. If a Mint State coin didn't make MS63, it was then considered to be a MS60. At the time, it was felt that it wasn't possible to consistently grade MS coin to one point increments.

I think many of the other 60s in this thread are early graded coins that got the number with the same logic. Today 60 is reserved for a beat up POS that is still technically uncirculated. --Jerry
Yeah, I know. I was just seeing who would say no way. BTW, I would be willing to bet that both coins would come back 63 for sure and most likely 64 if submitted.
Need a Barber Half with ANACS photo certificate. If you have one for sale please PM me. Current Ebay auctions
The majority of what's been posted thus far sure look like undergrades, except for that 1875 $20. No offense-attractive coin but obvious rub in the fields, neck, and hair; that's why it wouldn't cross. The PL surface works against you at that grade level.

Or how about this one?
<< <i>This is pretty PQ for a 60.
Or how about this one?
No way are those coins 60s........................from what I can see in the pics.
If those coins are 60s all I've learned here for the past five years about grading is out the window.
