1928 Saint Gaudens... is this a Struck Through or Scratch and what would you grade it...

This is the other Double Eagle I told a friend I'd try to help him image and describe.

I thought it was a scratch until I imaged it and now I think it's a Struck Though thread (or something similiar)

Would it best to sell this raw or have it graded. It has some small rim dings and the devices have some "drawer friction" but the fields are quite clean and it has nice luster.
What say you? and advance Thanks.

It certainly looks mint made...but it couldnt be in a worse, more distracting position.

Common date, bullion condition, especially with the rim nicks the reverse, especially the one at 6 oclock on the reverse that looks like its into the reeding, probably not worth attempting to slab.

I think its cool and definitely mint made.

If it belonged to me, I would name it as an errant strand of hair or... The Cameron Diaz, Something about Mary coin.

Remember the scene with the hair gel on Ben Stiller's ear! Hahaha
If I say something in the woods, and my wife isn't around. Am I still wrong?

Deinately looks like a strike through. I bet these types of errors on a St, Gaudens are rare. I have no idea what it does to its value.

I wouold guess the grade to be MS62ish.
