DNA Lincoln pulled and on the bay!

2009 Ginter Lincoln
My main concern is that they numbered the frame rather than the card itself. Poor choice by Topps IMO.

How's he get that at Target if retail isn't out yet?
Blasters aren't available that I know of.

I dunno. Some guy on ebay in MO. says he has retail in hand. I thought I saw Ginter blasters yesterday in my Target when I skimmed the section. Not 100% sure it was '09 though.

So that's all I have to say about that.
<< <i>How many Lincoln pubes does Topps own? I hope it was only 2 and their supply is now depleted. >>
I don't see Abe as being a very metrosexual kinda guy, so I'm sure he had plenty to go around.

Oh Lord, I just threw up in my mouth.
in my view.
The chance that there is any actual "DNA" connection
that could be proven is likely rather low.
I would not view TOPPS or any of their "DNA relic" suppliers
as ultra-reliable.
Novelty items are fun, but they are not valuable.....UNLESS
you can find a chain of gormless folks who will buy into your
"project."

Evidence Gathering:
(a) Ensure that the root is still attached to any hair sample. The root is necessary for any nuclear DNA testing.

........In nuclear DNA testing, any type of hair must have an intact root in order for nuclear DNA to be obtained................

But, mitochondrial DNA can be obtained from a hair shaft. The process is expensive
and often not conclusive. Comparison with other materials known to be from
the subject may help establish the authenticity of each material.
While law enforcement will gladly convict the innocent - and less often free the guilty -
based on mtDNA evidence, it is probably not a good idea to base the purchase of
expensive trading cards on it.

Abraham Lincoln was embalmed after his assassination in 1865. In order to prevent anyone stealing Lincoln's body, Lincoln's eldest son Robert called for Lincoln's exhumation in 1901 to be buried in a concrete vault in the burial room of his tomb in Springfield, Illinois. Fearing that his body would have been stolen in the interim, Lincoln's coffin was opened, and his features were still recognizable, thirty-six years after his death.
(The chemicals used in the periood's embalming, would likely
thwart most attempts to extract usable DNA from any post-burial
samples.)
