Two freebies from the local show - errors or just junk?

The first on is or was an 1863 Indian Head cent - it only weighs in at 4.1 grams so I think it may have been altered but what do you think?
The second freebie is or was a silver quarter. It weighs in at 3.9 grams. On this one I am very sure this is altered but again I thought I would ask the group.
