1909VDB - Nice color, strike and eye appeal. Estimated grade: MS66RD or MS66RB. $150 or BO.

1955-S - Great lusty toning and eye appeal. Found in mint set. Estimated grade: MS66RB or MS67RB. $100 or BO.

That's a nice group Duane. That VDB sure has some nice flat rims.

I'm sure that you would get a YOU SUCK if it turned out to be PR.

Nice catch, Bob, and funny you mention that. I originally bought the VDB as a PCGS MS66RD because I thought it MAY be proof. But after crackout and CLOSE examination for a long time, I determined (with the help of Stewart, Dave Lange and Brian Wagner) that it was not a MPL. Ironically, Stewart took one look at it raw and said "it looks like a 66 red"

I guess it's tough to beat experience!
