Nice catch, Bob, and funny you mention that. I originally bought the VDB as a PCGS MS66RD because I thought it MAY be proof. But after crackout and CLOSE examination for a long time, I determined (with the help of Stewart, Dave Lange and Brian Wagner) that it was not a MPL. Ironically, Stewart took one look at it raw and said "it looks like a 66 red"
I guess it's tough to beat experience!
