One refused today, Red Schoendienst, thought I might get lucky if he saw the MO return address. I did get two more negro league players, Herald Gordon and John "Mule" Miles. Mr. Miles also included a nice signed index.
Two nice autos. A good addition with that message on the IC by THE MULE.

Doug, yeah I liked the not from Mr. Miles, makes a nice addition to the card. 2 more returns today Bill Virdon (who apparently lives about 15 minutes away from me) and Barb Hoffman who kept my custom but included two signed cards of her own.

Another great day today, it amazes me how nice some of the negro league players are. Mr. Lumpkin included a short note thanking me for my letter and telling me he is 90 years old. 90 years old and happily signs autographs for free, what a great guy.
5 more returns today, man this stuff is addicting. I also got a nice surprise today, I ordered Bob Motley's book from amazon (cost me $4 incl. shipping) so that I could send it to him to be signed, it showed up today and it was already signed by both Bob and Byron Motley, great deal for $4.
AGAIN ... nice looking returns ... Being a GIANT fan I especially like that Robustelli!

5 returns, actually 2 of them showed up Saturday but I was a bit out of sorts that day. I know the actor is not sports, but I started branching out a bit.
Doran ... once again, GREAT cards and great autos.

Thanks guys I was pretty excited to get the Harry Morgan back, I do have requests out to most of the living cast, except for Klinger and Radar who I don't have good addresses for. Here are my returns for today, pretty good day.
I saw the news on the other thread that your B-I-L spoke a few words. May GOD enable him to do better each and every day.

I'd go thru the entire cast of Batman and see who is still living ... then send a card to each of them. That's a nice little set to have.

Thanks guys. Mike, I'm pretty happy with the way the cards look with the autos on them, I think my favorites are the Olympic cards though with the logo from the year they won their gold as the background. Doug, I think quite a few members of the Batman cast are alive, but I don't think many of them sign for free.
Doran ... you have outdone yourself again! GOOD WORK!

My returns have slowed to a crawl of late, but that is my fault for not continually sending more out. Here are my two returns for today, I was fully expecting to get the stamped auto on the Bush, but it is actually signed in ball point pen.

I'm not sure how Bush is doing his mechanical signatures as autopens are generally the same size unless they have different matrices made to accomodate different size items (which might be the case). But I found what seems to be a match for your GW signature which might indicate that it's autopen or some other mechanical variety. Leads me to believe that in addition to his other documented autopens, he has at least two matrices for this signature, one for smaller items such as cards, and larger items such as books.
In comparing the two examples of George W. Bush, it appears that the 'tail' on the end of his last name dips more in HeritageAddict's version than the exemplar shown in the book. The angle goes down on the card, and it is horizontal on the book. just my observation. but, as you said, it might be two different auto-pens. always tough to tell from a scan.
Could be Mike, I was hoping that since it is in ballpoint maybe it was not an autopen. Plus his card is smaller than a regular card, the Jenner is standard sized, I made my early mail outs smaller so I could use them for cuts. Is there anything in particular I should look for to distinguish between authentic and auto pen?

Those type of variations in autopens are typically made when the operator begins to move the item being signed right before its through.
Mike Navarro, you know nothing about political autographs. Why don't you just shut your yap!!!!
j/k...great detective work. I agree with you on the people pulling the item off the autopen a half second early for the variation. Out of curiosity, did you get rid of all your presidential autos or did you keep a few that you liked?
I haven't sent out any new requests, but I'm still getting a few in. I realized I hadn't updated the thread recently so here are my most recent returns.
