How do you add text over an image to protect it from scammers?

I have seen where people have like a "ghost text" across their images to protect them...is there an online program to do this? I have searched but cannot find one.

It's called a 'watermark' - do a google search for that, and you will find A TON of programs to help you

picasa is very easy to use and is free. Best free photo editing program I've used yet.

Easiest way is to open a program like Microsoft Publisher, import the picture, add a text box over the image, then right click and save the picture.
