Doesn't matter how many were made. What matters is the survival rate and demand. I'm sure most were spent, lost, or tossed but there is sufficient numbers that survived to meet the demand. In any even, it's doubtful these will ever be worth more than a few bucks.

There was also a Cheerios dollar coin which is probably what you are thinking about. These are much scarcer than the Cheerios cent.

Well, not as rare as the sac cheerios dollar. They don't go for a whole lot, and I wouldn't really value the coin that high. Here are some examples of ones that have sold recently

I don't think so, but I have learned never to say never.
When the Cherios cents first came out, our stores didn't have any. I was buying them on eBay in the hope of finding a then unknown 2000 wide AM cent. No such luck. Then I got one in change at the supermarket where I first start looking for the new Cherios packages.
