Anderson, S.C. Coin Show - Pictures

The show featured the usual coin and currency items for sale. In addition, there was an education section for youth participation. The kids were very excited and entered numismatic projects into competition. Also, the club had "George Washington" to put on a skit relating to the historical nature of the Delaware state quarter. All the kids enjoyed it. All in all, it was a lot of fun.

I took up a ride up there Friday morning and spent a couple of hours at the show. Being a currency specialist, I didn't expect to find too much but I did wind up with a couple of leads on a deal or two so we'll see what develops next week. I did run into a couple of folks who will also be at the Memphis Paper Money Show in a couple of weeks so we had a nice chat. What I found interesting is that a few of coin dealers were asking me for advice on how the paper money side of the hobby was doing. Yes, it was definitely worth the trip.
