When will videos of coins be more prevelant than photos?

I think that videos are great.

and now with HD videos available on youtube, high def videos of coins would be even more advantageous for the coins I mentioned above.
for generic coins where lighting, rotation, cartwheel effect is not an issue, than photos will do just fine.
Im in the video business -- have videos on my web site -- and the cost of video production is now CHEAP. There is nothing holding back video production for coin viewing. all you need is a good lens, and some sort of device to keep the coins at a particular focal point.

as Alan pointed out, this type of viewing would help to show a coin's luster which is the main ingredient which so eludes us when posting online pictures. my opinion is that the best pictures could be supplemented by a brief streaming video of a coin being rocked slightly. it's been done before at this site, perhaps as long as five years ago. the video lasted about 10-15 seconds and was effective but never went past that initial thread.
While a good high definition video camera can cost $500 to $6,000 there are smaller video cameras today that could do the job of showing cartwheel effects, color toning, etc and these cameras can cost as LITTLE as $100.
I recently wanted to show the frosting on a Panda gold coin and used a "Flip" video camera. It showed the frosting and mirror finish, though I didnt have a mount to hold the coin and my video was crude... and certainly not the quality I use on TV or my web site. But it made the point. And a Flip camera costs about $110 and comes with software for easy posting of the video to YouTube.
We were all excited about True View pix, well in a year or two some enterprising TPG service will develop video to really give collectors the "true view" of coins.
And if anyone wants to know how to do it, I can tell them. And if I weren't doing a TV show here in LA, it might be a nice business to get into because these videos would also go a long way for eBay and auction sales. Anyone listening??

the only obstacle to having videos is that the hobby hasn't caught on to the idea... heck a lot of the hobby is still looking at 19th century stuff !!
