<< <i>Yes, if authenticity might be in question. >>
And then, if authenticated, to be photographed in the tomb before being freed.
No, not valuable enough in that grade/condition to warrant certification.
<< <i>not valuable enough >>
I respectfully disagree. I couldn't bring myself to bid that much, but I would like to have gotten it myself, and $25 to $30 to get it certified as a genuine mule would be worth it to me.

I'm assuming the buyer is a collector, not a dealer.
There is no issue as to authenticity. The mule is easy to identify and counterfeits don't exist. Also very easy to find cleaned and/or corroded in low circulated grades. Why spend $50 for PCGS to tell you something you already know?
If, on the other hand, the buyer wants to flip the coin, and thinks he can get more than $50 above the purchase price by having it slabbed, then he should go for it.
You'll find many of these at the auctions in Manila, almost always selling for less than $100 each in this condition.

Then if we can arrange to vacation in Iloilo this Christmas/New Year (still up in the air due to cost), I'll try hard to make it to an auction in Manila while I am there.
