I should rephrase, Any numismatic item from, or relating to The New Orleans Mint, is a go. maedals, tokens, stamps, currency, whatev.
Just keep posting this great stuff. and LordM, why, if you dont have pictures of your other O minted coins, are you still posting, and not taking pictures?
Great stuff everyone, those Morgan toners are amazing!
Anyone have any DMPL Morgans from the O mint? What about some varieties, the crumbled O was sweet!
I just had the realization that I don't have one single O mint coin in my entire collection. The pitfall of common date with eye appeal collecting I guess.
PCGS had not seen a prooflike '44-O half prior to the submission of this piece, which is the most logical explanation for their designation. I happen to believe that this coin may have some connection to the unique '44-O Proof Eagle which was recently placed on exhibit in the Louisiana State Museum's Old U.S Mint in New Orleans at the request of the anonymous Florida collector who owns it. The issue has intrigued me ever since I aquired it, and I have good reason to believe that it may have been a presentation piece as well.
The 1901 Morgan is a New Orleans minted item. I inherited all these coins. I only have three Morgan dollars, this was the first I found, and nicest of them all.
I don't have a good reverse picture of it. I have a scan of it but it makes it look all green-it's not, it's a nice dark gray mostly. I posted the scans of it in my very first post I made here, on June 1 of last year!

PCGS VF25 (previously holdered as VF25, but the last owner cracked it to keep it in an album).
PCGS MS64 (it graded pretty much as expected).
Some truly beautiful coins people. Thanks so much for posting them. Got any more???
BTW, you don't need to upload your TrueViews to Photobucket.
Just use the PCGS URL and put it in the 'Image' icon!!!

One thing surprised me about all the wonderful pics though, I believe no one posted an 1851-O 3center, or an 1854-O $3G piece... Anyone got some?
<< <i>Man you guys really pulled through on this thread. GREAT coins everyone.!

Here's the 3CS I used to own (now belongs to another forum member). PCGS MS62 and it's a pretty little one from New Orleans I think
