1859 IHC w/problems

Coin grades NGC-63 but concerned with the spots..
Would sending this in to NCS be advised/help ?

Worth $550. as is ?

Looks like a weak strike in areas, but I'd give NCS a shot at it.

Closer to $350 -- 400

The reason I say that is I look at having all my Indians graded at PCGS and I think that piece may have a hard time crossing over. JMHO

I would not buy that coin. The 1859 IHC is not a tough type to obtain without substantial problems.

I agree... There are frequently many nice examples on the market That example is not nice.

If you're interested in an example that looks AU, you should only spend AU money for it.

In comparison, here's my 1859. I grade it AU-58 but while it was in plastic NGC graded it MS-61:

Have to agree with you regarding a weak strike Especially on the Reverse.. oh well...

Even without the spots, I would look for a better struck example.
