Rim Nicks and Rattlers?

Since the rim, edge and reeding are fairly visible in a rattler slab, was PCGS slabbing coins with rim nicks then?

    Yes. A rim nick is just a bag mark on a non-prime focal area of the coin and are considered in the determination of the grade.

    There's a big difference between a rim nick and rim ding. Rim nicks are generally certified. Rim dings are not.
