Russ Help! (or other ebayers) Question about Ebay's new first five listings "free" deal

So I don't usually post Ebay problems, but since I plan on selling a lot of coins in June, I figured our forum members may be able to answer this and add to our collective knowledge.
My concern is the final value fee of 8.75% or $20.00 is way higher than normal. My question is, would it be wise to either offer my first 5 items for June for rediculous (high) starting prices, or sell 99 cent items that I can take the loss on? I use Ebay's Sell Your Item form, and do not have the volume to use any other third party listing process.
If I am reading this wrong, please let me know how we can opt out of this deal besides my two suggestions above.
Yes, I realize Ebay is "evil" in some peoples minds, but my post is not to start an Ebay Bashing Thread, but to get an honest opinion of how to play in their sandbox and not come out worse off than before.
Here is the announcement, effective in June:
We're writing with some exciting news about eBay fees. Starting June 16:
Every 30 days, your first 5 Auction-style listings will have NO Insertion Fees when you list with eBay's Sell Your Item form or Simple listing form--regardless of your start price.
The first 5 listings with no Insertion Fees will have a Final Value Fee of 8.75% of the sales price or $20, whichever is lower. Additional items sold during the same 30-day period will have the same Insertion Fees and Final Value Fees as they do today.
If you are currently using an eBay tool or third-party listing solution, you can either list your first 5 Auction-style listings with the new pricing structure through eBay's Sell Your Item form or Simple listing form or continue with your current practices at the current pricing-whichever option works best for you.
This change is part of our continued effort to lower the upfront costs of selling on eBay. The 5 listings with no Insertion Fees are especially helpful for sellers who may not sell in high volume, but offer unique and hard-to-find inventory buyers expect to find on eBay.

Turbo Lister is free and WAY better to use than eBay's POS SYI form.

I suppose it would be worth my time to learn the Turbo Lister system.
A lot of the Morgans are nice toners that I paid over sheet for so I don't want to take chances with a $.99 start. I also don't want to put a reserve on these as that would scare off more than a few players.
Probably will go for the Store again and put a few in the No Insertion fee auctions to garner interest and get people to look at my other items. (I'll also post a heads-up in the BST Forum.)
As far as ebay's higher than usual FVF with their "June Special" I suppose whether it's worth it to list coins this way boils down to the coin's expected gross, right? Probably coins that go for $500 or more it would be worthwhile. Under that and it would hurt bigtime.

<< <i>So you can opt out of it, or do you have to use the Turbo Lister to opt out? >>
You can opt out. The eBay announcement is confusing. What they're trying to say is that to opt in, you have to use the SYI form. They're not saying it's mandatory, even with the form. You should still switch to TL, though. It will make your life much easier.

It would take you about an hour to be familiar enough to use it, and about a day to know everything about it.

That's smart. Outside of top end color in high grades, the toned Morgan market is in the toilet.

Also agree on Turbo lister free and once you get set up with hosted images and a simple tempate the way to move out the items.
BTW June is a slow month to sell coins everyone is saving up for vacation or allready going. Unless you can get some Fathers Day itmes out there.

Yes, you can opt out.

Only color that is more effective than an entire bottle of Viagra.
