I'm having my first garage sale of the year and have marked hundreds of lower value coins and sets. So far the gals are out buying the guys 3 to 1

Man! You should have told me!
I could have shipped you some wheaties to sell for 25c each and then let go for 10c each as a bargain

(so, what are you selling to these folks?)

Proofs sets, mint sets at a average of $5.50, full date buffalo nickels ($0.50 each), wheat cents ($0.04 each

), retail acrylic cased sets, etc, etc... You have to watch them like a hawk as a few have sticky fingers. Last year I sold well over $550.00 worth and around $50.00 walked out for free. I have since refined my operations

Maybe not a good idea giving strangers the impression that you have coins in your home. Possibly setting up at a flea market might be safer.

Sound like your selling them to cheap for the venue. I walked into one the other day that common 80's-90's proof sets for $15-$20 each and common G-VG Indian Cents for $2 each. They were selling them like crazy. The customers were buying regardless of marked price. It seemed like a live version of the Home Shopping Network, where uneducated(coin dumb, not dumb-dumb) people buy things they know nothing about and think they are getting a deal.

One older woman just left with over $200.00 worth. She had to go to the bank and come back.

I figure if I can sell the stuff for more than I could on eBay after all of the fees I'm happy. This low end stuff piles up every winter and I just want it gone.

I may be having a sale of genuine bear coins,

from my pocket change. Guaranteed un searched.

However I did look them over lightly for rarities.
