Grading a Silver Eagle Monster Box

Interesting Question: Say you are crazy and send in an unsearched, sealed Monster Silver eagle 2009 Box for PCGS grading. That's a grading cost of $5000. What percentage of the coins could come back MS69's? What about MS70's?

Should be interesting what the Forum thinks

Every box is different... some are better than others... sometimes, you get a run of a defect (say a fair sized strike thru...) that appears on almost every coin, insuring that you get no 70s...

Mixed ......................... Dealers and collectors here who have done these types of submissions should be able to provide some percentages based on the grades they received.

5000 ASE's you might get 5 to 10 70's mostly 68's and 69's with maybe 10% 67's

I'd rather spend another 2K and get another box than a bunch of plastic holders and 69's and less. The value is in the silver and there are only so many suckers who'll pay $100+ for a 70. Even if you got 500 70's are there enough people on the buying end to make this a worthwhile scheme? I personally don't even think its worth the trouble. Its a modern bullion coin and imho and with the technology they are almost all 70's so who cares... Yawn!

I'm pretty sure a green monster box only contains 500 SAE's.
