Where should I sell coins in the Boston area?

Not a collector here. Just a guy who has inherited a small group of modern commeratives and gold bullion coins (all proof). I would appreciate advice on where I could sell these in the Boston area for a fair price. I don't feel comfortable sending them in the mail to anyone, so I'm looking for someone in my area. Many thanks.

Whatcha got? Perhaps consult some of the well-respected folks on here and post them on the BST at reasonable prices. You'd probably do better than a dealer if it's all moderns.

Lexington coin, known far and wide as one of the most honest dealers around. Rick is the owner
and is very fair. check all the others, but do not miss out on him JMHO

Don't clean them, make a list and call first so whomever you wish(one or more) to deal with can give you attention that you deserve. Remember, unless you hit a homerun with these coins-most dealers are a little(or a lot) soft on so-so coins and a lot of dealers might sense your once in a lifetime trip to their shop and treat you accordingly.

Personally, in your shoes-I would casually go into a shop first as a buyer and see how you were treated and whether the shop sold the type of caliber that you want to sell.
    Have a nice day

That's a huge amount of what they do at their shop. I was there last week... very friendly.

I guess all dealers will buy and sell bullion at spot, but I know Teaparty does not do moderns.

Not to be the voice of dissent here, but I sold coins to JJTeaparty once. I will never, never, never do it again. If you "give them a look" I'd get at least one other appraisal/offer.

Thanks, everyone, for all the advice, which I very much appreciate. I ended up going to Lexington Coin and was pleased with the fair price, which was the best of the Boston area options I looked into.
