ROFL this guy cracks me up. Someone send him a scanner please.
  • I've never really messed with this guy because there is a good chance that he truly is a disabled vet. If he is, he has my full respect. It appears to me that he is simply buying midgrade cards and trying to sell them as NRMT or better. It's not illegal, just unethical.

He's a slimeball vet or no vet.

I was guessing someone left a feedback like this,

The card came with a crusty substance on it...

I doubt he is a vet. You don't normally retire as a "SEARGANT" aka "Sergeant". Total clown.

    Hi Bill,

After reading your post above, I checked out some of his buys and I think you are right about his buying/selling scheme.

Warren Harding card that he won on 4-30-09 for $11.50!
Warren Harding card that he's currently selling for $350.00!

A while back I tried to help this guy by offering to send him a free Beckett or SMR etc to help him with his pricings. I kind of felt sorry for the guy, not so much because I thought he was a disabled vet, but because his prices were ridiculously out of whack. I never received any type of response.

Tough guy to figure out I guess!

I bought a '67 Mantle described as NRMT from the guy that always lists his auctions like "***'67 MANTLE***SUPERB*PACK FRESH*BLAZER*** and puts them on a purple matted background for $130. When I got it one of the corners was pretty bad and had a slight wrinkle not visible in his scan. I relisted it as EX - EX/MT and this guy bought it for $135. He emailed me and said he was waiting for his auctions to end a couple of days later and then he would pay. Sure enough he paid and left good feedback, so I have no beef with him. I do, however, have beef with the seller I bought if from because I know of several people that have been duped on his raw high dollar cards.

He claims in the auctions that I have read that the cards are Good or Good++

He rarely uses the term Near mint.

As for the 32 Caramel I think he is simply fishing for a sucker.
