Westchester County Coin Club celebrates 75 years!!

The Westchester County Coin Club held its 75th Anniversary banquet last night. Roughly 60 members, family and friends were in attendence. William Shamhart was the guest speaker.
The club unveiled its 75th Anniversary Medal, engraved and struck by Daniel Carr. Daniel did a truly superb job! One side of the medal bears the club logo, while the other depicts a proposed/rejected design for the 1938 New Rochelle Half Dollar. The WCCC played a crucial role in the creation of the 1938 New Rochelle Half Dollar, so it seemed fitting the follow that theme. The club ordered a surplus of medals, and anyone interested in acquiring one should contact me or Jon Lerner, here on the forums as ScarsdaleCoin. They are 39mm, available on a one ounce silver or copper planchet.
