Question on 89 Hoops

I know the Robinson jersey card is in series 1 boxes, and his "in action" in series 2. My question is about Michael. Was his regular card in both boxes? I just ripped a series 1 box, and 2 of the series 2 boxes and got just a single regular Jordan (out of the series 2 box). I got like 10 of his allstar cards though between the 3 boxes I ripped.

From what I recall, both the regular Jordan and All Star Jordan are in both series.

The first series cards WERE included in the second series packaging.

Thanks for the help fellas. Hard to believe I pulled just a single Jordan outta 3 boxes!!! Yet I pulled 4 series 1 Robinsons, and another 5 series 2 Robinsons. So I know the boxes were legit. Just strange.
  • I think the 89 hoops series 1 have a really weird pattern. I opened 4 series 1 boxes and got about 15 reggie miller cards and only 1 dominique wilkins. Didn't get a regular jordan either but did pull 8 jordan all-stars. I know the regular jordans are in there somewhere...i just cant find them.

It is weird....I musta got at LEAST 9-10 Birds from the 3 boxes, but just 1 Jordan. Too bad Jon Koncak was a nobody....I stopped counting how many of him I got after 15 or so!!!

Colation <sp> was very bad for 1989 Hoops. Opposite of Fleer.

I have it on good authority that Terry Catledge was quintuple printed in that set. I remember a local card store owner carrying a kid out of the store by his neck when he was caught searching Series 1 Packs, which were going for about $5 each as people chased the Robinson SP/RC.
Kiss me once, shame on you.
    Kiss me twice.....let's party.
