Heritage, you should have let me register, those would have been mine!

I'm wondering if you have your collection of SACs available for viewing somewhere online, as I'm a SAC collector as well---(I noticed your tag at the bottom of your posts).

Im still searching for my circulated piece. I know its out there... Somewhere...
I hope this looks like a steal in years to come.
While I expect that to be the case, I'd be surprised if I own the coin for more than a few months.

hot potato, bigger fool theory, gimmicky, promoted, a flash in the pan, and over priced all come to mind.

There are supposed to be a lot of these out there but so far
they aren't turning up. It's been three years they've been
widely known yet they aren't appearing. Perhaps they never
will and even if they do they could be highly degraded. How
many hands will one of these pass through before it is rec-
ognized?
<< <i>Who ever bought the MS66 must have a pit in their stomach with the 68 going for such a small increment higher. >>
i interpret it as the 66s have much more room to fall "now" compared
to the 68 which seems to have settled in a more comfortable
price range.

it appears no matter how many are left (rarity), no matter the story behind
them, and the condition of the remainders... without demand and
interest the prices will hardly get above the tempest in the teapot
that took place over the last few years. Perhaps that is as good as
it will get for many more years if not decades to come.

Are you fearful of further declining in price?
When it drops to $2400 then it will be equal to what happened to my 401K.

Perhaps.
It's hard to imagine the demand being much weaker for moderns but, then, i'd
have never thought it could fall this far.

The value in these is in their rarity, not the numerical grade.

I agree completly, i do not think that more than 50 will ever show up and if so i am guessing the grade will be a 66 or lower, i just sent mine out to the pcgs last month and it came back an ms 67 i'll sit on it if need be and see what happens, only 5500 of this modern rareity out of the millions, or billions not sure of the exact ammount off the top of my head, minted for this year but still in all they are rare
<< <i>if in fact 5000 were minted and 5000 were found-chances are >95% thought they were worth just $1 and spent them. Meaning that if they are in circulation they probably wont have a grade above ms64 >>
More like AU these tarnish out rapidly in circulation. That was my experience spending the Pres. dollars from the direct ship program.
