well it's not mine i just noticed it scanning ebay but as to the idea of weighing the piece: wouldnt the weight measurement be compromised by the missing portion?
<< <i>something is unique or not. How can it be "very unique"? >>
I've always laughed when people make this argument. While the main definition of unique is "singular" or "one," it's not the only definition. From Merriam-Webster: "Many commentators have objected to the comparison or modification (as by somewhat or very) of unique, often asserting that a thing is either unique or it is not. Objections are based chiefly on the assumption that unique has but a single absolute sense, an assumption contradicted by information readily available in a dictionary."

Just so happens that 1795 is one of the few dates I lack in holey large cents.
That one's, um... just a bit TOO holey for even me, though!

<< <i>So if I drill holes in all my coins and call them unique, could I sell them for more than they're worth now? >>
you can only drill hole(s) in one to do so, or they are no longer very unique.
<< <i>something is unique or not. How can it be "very unique"?
That's a very perfect question to raise.
