MSN Cashback up to 14%

Call me crazy... but the MSN cashback percentage seems to trend gold and silver. When gold and silver go back down, you can bet the MSN cashback will closely correlate. Good luck, I'm gonna go bargin hunting.

Maybe it's a mathematical equation based on how much revenue MSFT gets from e-bay that week?
It's still better than nothin'

14% is better than 0%

Now you have me a little worried. What did you buy? I bought 1 oz gold.
I'm hoping for the days of 25% to 30% return, too...

A couple of rolls of 2009 ASE's
After reading several of these posts, and initially failing at getting to the correct page, I later went to my MSN home page, did a search for "MSN Cashback", and actually got to a page which then had a link to coins on Ebay. When I followed this link, i then came to another page showing the cashback icon/symbol at the top of the page, and indicating it was 14%.
If I understood some previous instructions I printed off this forum, once that's done, I have an hour to purchase something ONLY off a Buy it Now auction, with a limit of $200 maximum cash back on whatever it is that I purchase. The Cash Back finds its way to my PayPal account, about two months after which I may withdraw it and take some nice woman out to dinner.
Right?

I bought 6 1/10 oz Maples 2009, nothing special but it is gold.

Cashback was instant. net cost $575
You've got it! I have used it 13 times now (one pending, 12 paid) and roughly 60 days after each transaction the $$ shows up in my Paypal account. Some people on the board have been lucky enough to get instant Cashbacks, but I haven't figured out what the trick is to get the $$ instantly - I think it's just random.

While reading your post I was thinking why mine was instant.
I have had a 4 instant and 8 on 60 days.
Maybe the instant ones are a result of using Paypal funds to make purchase rather than credit card?

<< <i>used 8% cashback plus 8% ebay coupon to snag a 2009 krugerrand 1 oz at 840 net >>
$840 is sweet for the Krugerrand. Of late it has been hard finding anything worth buying on eBay. Today I used the 14% cashback to purchase two 1984 Olympic $10 commemoratives. After cashback they were $417 each or $862 per ounce net. Each of the two $67.90 cashbacks were instant plus another $19.40 in eBay bucks (hurry July).

What are eBay bucks?
Joe
they price their items specifically for cashback.
you have to catch it where the cashback just jumps from a smaller percentage to a larger one, but the seller has not yet changed his price
(and the item is not originally at the 200 max cashback level).
Krugerrands were 999, 1019, 1025 with 8% cashback, then when it jumped to 14% cashback they upped their price to 1059, 1075, etc.
I was lucky to combine a 8% ebay coupon and the 8% cashback on a 999 pricetag......to net 840

A new eBay promotion started in April. 2% of purchase prices you pay are credited to eBay bucks. At the end of June eBay stops counting and gives you a coupon in July to apply to a new purchase. I imagine it will act as cash against a purchase.

It flows more easily if you set up a Microsoft Live account first and link it to your PayPal account...otherwise the cashback credits will show as "failed"

Yea, mbogoman, I think I got it... just checked, but here's what I found...
I went to my MSN page (I actually use yahoo, MSN is just a Favorites link), and once there, did a search for Live.com... finding that, I did a search for "coins" (as opposed to ebay/coins) and got the cashback page with a coins link to Ebay on the right side of the page. I went to the cashback page, and it showed nothing there, not even "pending"... so I sighed, and went back to Ebay.
Once there, I saw that I had a couple messages I hadn't retrieved, so clicked the link, and lo and behold, there's a message from Ebay about my cashback transaction (picked up an 1886 PCGS MS-65 for a Bin of $180, net of $154.80 with cashback). I followed THAT link, and there it was, a cashback "pending" for the difference...
Apparently, one has to follow the Ebay message link to the cashback account in order for it to register, rather than searching via MSN/Live.com for the same info. - has anyone else experienced this? Do I have it right?
