I have amended (again) the contest rules and have declared gumbyfan the winner of this contest (he had the closest date, as I gave him April 23rd, as a joke! Some joke!)...
Craig gave-up his pick in May (and gave it to WinPitcher/Steve)... So I figured there would be no harm to give gumbyfan an April 23rd pick, for there would be now way that would be the closest date to poppage! YEA RIGHT!
So I award gumbyfan the 1978 Donrus Sgt. Pepper's Wax Box (...and what the heck, I will still send a contribution to multiple sclerosis "in the name of stown"!)
In all fairness, I should have been declared the winner. I'm just saying.
Reallly, what has Gumby done for this forum?? Besides expose his man love-crush for some certain second baser. I mean really, and here I am bringing thoughtful and insightful posts that has elvated the collective knowledge of this board. All I do is give and never take. Everyone forgets my thoughtful threads like "Is it just me or does everyone think that 1990 Donruss is about to explode in value?" and "10 tricks to resaeling packs and selling them on Ebay".
I get no respect I say, no respect. And that was my line before someone else stole it.

I have that one and it's rarer cousin in the powder blues as well. I'd post pictures, but I've been packing things up for my move at the end of May and the bobbleheads were one of the first things packed away.
I originally said if somehow poppage would happen before the date of 24 APR 09, since there would be no winner, I would donate the estimated value of the Sgt. Pepper's Wax Box (approx. $30), to stown's Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Let this story continue! Sometimes "nice guys finish first"!
WinPitcher (Steve) had mistakenly, picked May 14th, as his "poppage date". Unfortunately that date was already taken. I PM'd Steve offering him a chance to pick another date, but he was offline. As the hours went by, all the dates "dried-up" quickly.
So it looked like Steve was out of luck!
Then "GUMBY TO THE RESCUE"!!!
Craig was kind enough to donate his May 15th "poppage date pick" to WinPitcher!
I thought that was really a nice gesture by Craig. So actually, "as a funny goof", since all the dates were taken, beginning with my "poppage date pick" of April 24th, I decided to give gumbyfan the date of April 23rd. As I knew that poppage would NEVER HAPPEN THAT EARLY!
Well, guess what? Unbelievably, poppage occurred on April 22nd! Wow!
So what I did, was award gumbyfan the wax box, as April 22nd, was the closest date to poppage!
So because poppage DID occur before April 24th, I will honor my word and donate to Multiple Sclerosis (In the name of "gumby's collection thread", c/o stown)...

The sub can't pop on 7/30 or 7/31. PSA will be at the National. In fact, I doubt they're open on the 28th either.
