ooh, I love this game... I can't do it with Franklins though (I collect Franklins, but after 4 years still only have 4 of the 35!). I'm better at this game with Lincolns or Jeffersons.

well it's pretty much narrowed down since there were only five dates with S mint marks and two have been guessed already.

but you were tricksing us u were - even blowing up the image you first posted to 10x normal , the mintmark still looked like a " D "......

It's really no definitive way to tell. It takes looking at hundreds of Franklins before you start to see the different strike characteristics for each date & MM.

.........make that thousands : and even then only a few dates are noticeably recognizable , even then it's hard as heck to tell ;

no - not a '51 and not a '56 ! Isn't this fun !

hint: it's a PCGS MS 66 FBL
