I know nuttin about hockey but I want to buy a Alex Ovechkin rookie card what one is his best? Sp Authentic

    in with the title.

    Not being sarcastic here, but the best one is the one you like the best. There are so many high dollar Ovie cards
    that you just have to pick the one you like. There are so many auto/jersey/limited/ cards that it's hard to say which one is best.

    His best card is The Cup rookie but that sells in the thousands. After that I would go after the SP authentic or the Ultimate (which both sell for around the same price).

    You can break the Ovechkin rookies into groups:

    Very high end is The Cup Rookie Card

    Next would be the SPX or SP Authentic

    The next group would be Black Diamond and Upper Deck

    If you want a low end rookie your best best is UD MVP, Parkhurst or UD Power Play

    I would go with a SP Authentic Redemption 2004. You can get them for around $150 ungraded which is not too bad.

    I personally don't have any Ovechkins, cos I can't afford them.
    I will eventually get one; and when I do, it will be the SP Authentic.
    SP Authentic is always solid and always hard signed. If you like sticker autos, then get the SPx...yuck!
