    Blu62vette imaged these coins before they were sent in. I don't have the images here. Since the coins were imaged raw I didn't ask him to edit "obverse/reverse" photos. I figured I'd photo the label's after slabbing and then do the editing myself.

    Short version is that there isn't a preview page yet.

    I have to write a paper for my company tonight and won't be getting much (any?) sleep. But maybe Thursday night I can pull some images from the CD and upload them. The coins are sweet.

    These are more of my dad's coins. He's planning a grand auction of high-grade slabbed World Coins sometime this year. I'm supposed to work out the mechanics for him. I dunno exactly how we'll do it. I suspect I'll setup a website for him to display the coins and he can run a mail auction. I think he plans to solicit interest by advertising in New Zealand and Australia.

    Yes, red copper is tough to come by. PCGS is pretty strict about copper these days. I like the new tighter standards. More like the OGH days. Better looking coins for the grade in PCGS holders (as a rule) these days.

    Two forum members misunderstood the use of the term "gennie." Sorry for the slang. I learned it here on the forum.

    My understanding is "gennie" is forum slang for the "Genuine Service" or "Genuine Holder" that PCGS is now putting formerly BB'd (Body Bagged coins in). For example, here is an image of a coin in a "genuine holder."

    The coin was deamed "cleaned" (the .92 code) and ungradable by PCGS. They used to just keep the grading fee and return the coin in flip packed in a little padded poly bag (a body bag). Now the coin comes back to the submitter as a gennie.

    "not a gennie in the lot" means "I'm very happy as all of the coins submitted graded and none were deamed problem coins by PCGS."

    Upon opening and reading the thread, your meaning was quite clear, since PCGS now slabs problem coins as "Genuine." My post was meant to be lighthearted, but you seem to be taking it quite seriously (i.e. starting another thread on the lightside). Call 'em whatever you like, but I hardly think that an obscure US forum post (that had only a grand total of 7 replies at the time of your post) constitutes the universal acceptance of the term "Gennie," especially considering that yours seems to have been the only concurrence with the term image -Preussen

    I fully agree the term is not widely used. I just ran out of ideas to post. And I figured either I work on some stupid report for my boss, or I burn some time on the forum. I picked the latter. I have met a rather nice group of people on the forum. Near as I can figure, the only way to do that is to engage in some form of conversation. Maybe gennie is a stupid term and I'll stop using it (well, doubtful, as all the other cryptic TTT's and TPGS and what not seem widely used and I have to google the darn things half the time to remember what they are - LMAO is one that comes to mind - what is LMAO?)

    Anyway, no offense was meant. I'm just having fun. Besides, what other thread could I post that $5 thing on - it's a scrubbed bare rubbed shiny coin. I guess I could have started a "hey look at my ugly coin" thread, but since it was in a gennie holder, I figured it'd make good content for an otherwise useless post. <smilely face> image
