Uh, I believe those would be mine. Let me see now. Oh yes, here it is. My silver bars had the following serial numbers: P086787, P199096, and P152378. Would you check to see if the serial numbers match?

Boy oh boy! Will I ever be glad to see those three bars again!

    Just kidding.image

The lightsiders have already tried to NITPICK the posting with slams of me putting the amounts and serial numbers in the post. There was a reason for that... I just hate posting over there....
  • My post was not intended to be critical. I apologize for it seeming that it was.

I don't get it. Valued at $1,442 for both coins? That's well below melt right? Maybe they meant $1,442 per coin?

ASUtodd - Thank you for your work on this. The recovery of numismatic items, proper identification and eventual return to the rightful owner seems like an almost impossible chain complete.

Once the dust settles, hopefully you can share the rest of the story with us. "Seized the following items from the hotel room," sounds like the lead in to a rather interesting story of cops and robbers.

From your post, it sounds like you may be one of N.C.'s finest. If so, thank you very much for your contribution to our collective public safety. Law enforcement is a dangerous and I'm guessing most times seems a somewhat thankless calling. Rest assured, there are those of us out here that value your efforts highly!

IloiloKano, that wasn't directed at you, just taking my frustrations out in a post. It makes me chuckle that instead of being constructive about trying to find out where the items came from they want to nitpick about what was posted, how it was posted, and why I'm not doing this or that... In other words, people that have no clue how to do my job are trying to do it.... I know most folks say to grow a thick skin but you would think that in a close knit group like this folks would be appreciative of such a heads up... either way... I'll keep you guys posted on what we find out... Got a good lead from the FBI, according to the Detective in Cary..

Todd- I have gone to the light side many times and read the posts. Almost every time I do, I get fed up with all the bickering that tends to go on in that forum. You go to the darkside forum and see very little of this. Can't help but wonder why they tend to be such an unfriendly group.

  • And I certainly appreciate you posting this. I have advised the higher-ups at the Evil Empire™ so the information can be disseminated to the dealer network.

Unfortunately, I would suspect the goods are the products of several burglaries or trading for drugs. image
