Very annoying ebay member. Help.

I've had a few coins at BIN or Best Offer on ebay for a few months. And one person keeps offering me super lowball prices, but I just respond "no thank you". So I decided to get rid of the Best Offer and do a BIN only, so he wont be able to offer. Well he's now offering an even lower lowball price threw email, so I told him "sure plus send $XXX extra for shipping" with a image. Now he sends me 2 emails a day asking if I'd take this price and says he's been waiting for a response. Just opened my email again this morning, yep, he's leaving me more messages.

I know how to block bidders. But does anyone know how to block communication with ebay members? THANKS!!!!!

    I don't know how to stop it, but you might not
    want to tell him crazy shipping costs. He may
    report that to eBay and get you into some
    trouble that way.

    Just tell him to buzz off permanently, and stop wasting your time?

    No response needed at this point. Just ignore emails and block the individual as a bidder.

    Report to eBay as harassment.... I think eBay can prevent further emails through their site.

    They don't like it if you actually ask for excessive shipping in your listing, but I doubt they can do anything about a private communication venue.

    It happens.

    Block him as a bidder. Ignore his emails. Forward them all, in one email, to eBay if you feel they are harassing in nature.

    If you typically read your eBay messages in email, as I do, you can also build a "From:" filter for:

    'eBay Member: loser'

    Edited to add: If your plan is to ignore the person because you have no intention of ever doing business with them. Make sure you block them. Otherwise it will likely come back to haunt you.

    Ignore him & report to Trust & Safety and after you've given T&S his email headers and email - block him

    T&S will need the email headers along with actual email in order to take appropriate action.

    Is he doing offers on the $2,750 toned SAE you have up there?
    What are the "lowball" offers?

    If someone sends me emails, and I don't want them from the person, it is more than easy enough to just delete...even without reading. Not sure why it would be a problem.....

    I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

    We will await the inevitable "why don't deadbeat sellers respond to my e-mails?" thread.

    And then the beatdown.

    When you list a item with a "Buy It Now" and "Best Offer" you can set a minimum you are willing to take for the item. If someone makes a low-ball offer it will be automatically rejected and the same person can only make 3 offers on the same item.

    As for the emails..just delete them without reading them.

    My advise is to report his actions to eBay if you can but whatever you do do, be sure to block him from bidding or buying any of your items.
    It appears that he has a screw loose and he's gonna NEG you if given the chance.

    Persistant low ballers are a pain in the but!
    I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

    I don't have and never ever had an ASE for $2,700. The the coin you are refering to is the "Gadzilla" ASE guy. I'm not sure what to say about his auctions. I had one for $599 a few months ago, and did sell for $500.

    At first the annoying ebay member was offering lower than half my asking price, and I would reply "no thank you", and I even told him a few times he was no where near my selling price. Now he's offering me about a third my original asking price. And I'm not even asking for offers!! Oh well... I thought I could just block communication with him.

    BTW... I appriciate everyones help and suggestions!!!

    eBay may not be able to do much about it, but maybe you can ask eBay to ask the person to quit e-mailing you.

    from what you describe he isn't really do any more than annoying you. but, perhaps they can tell him to drop it better than you can.

    As mentioned in an earlier post, set up auto reject on eBay. You won't have to deal personally with the bottom feeders and lowballers.

    You're right...I had you confused with the other board member on that one. Was trying to figure out what kind of item he was lowballing.
    I would just ignore his emails. If he knows it grates on you, he may do it for sport....kind of like Russ on Marty image

    I've done that. However, ironically, the coin I'm selling, I bought from Russ (to my credit, I bought it raw). But I do have a few items I'm going to send him.

    I'm not sure what this guy is about. I just find him very annoying. But from now on, I won't complain about it.

    If the annoying low ball offers are being sent directly to your email address, you could forward the emails to both eBay and to the senders IP administrator. Either or both could consider those emails to be a form of harrassment that could result in suspension by eBay and/or their IP.
