Selling a collection

Good Morning Everyone:

I am currious as to anyones input on what would be the best way if one wanted to sell off their collection. Would you go the Ebay route the auction house route (which one) or private collector?

Any insight would be very much appreciated.

  • I suppose first thing is.........how big is collection , is it vintage or modern cards , is it graded or raw or both . Just need to
    be specific.
A collector of all things Braves
Always looking for Chipper Jones cards.
Im a very focused collector of cards from 1909 - 2012...LOL
  • I guess that would help:

If you look at my collection it is mostly hockey

    1971 OPC need 3 cards

All of my the 1980's OPC sets and then I have a couple of CFL sets. 1964 Topps CFL PSA 8 100% complete and the Warren Moon Rookie 1983 Jogo set 100% complete. The misc comons etc I would unload on Ebay.

First thing I would do is figure out a price you would be happy with for your entire collection (be realistic). Then list everything you have, along with the price you want, on this thread. Leave it here for about 5 days and if you get no response then go the eBay route.

Keep in mind the eBay fees you would have to pay when you list it here.

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
  • Thanks Guys for all of your input. I will take this all into consideration. I am assuming you would put it on the Buy sell trade as not to Spam everyone on here.
